Kristin and Troy | Virginia Wedding Photographer

I really do fall in love with my couples and Kristin and Troy are no exception!  When Kristin and I first talked on the phone and she started to tell me about her fairy tale wedding I couldn’t have been more excited to be a small part of it and it was amazing!!!  What a great friendship has evolved and I have to say I just adore them both! Tina, Kristin’s Mom, was wonderful too and I look forward to my invitation to relax with her in her beautiful garden by her fish pond…. I can hear it calling my name already!

For this wedding my team consisted of myself (Nancy) , Sarah Kittredge and Melody Gillikin. With 3 and sometimes even 4 photographers on hand there isn’t much that slips by us.  I was so thankful to have them. Personally, even though we end up with zillions of photos, I love being surrounded with a team of talented creative minds.  It’s so much fun!

The DJ was Gerry Bradshaw (DJgerry.com) and boy did he have a ton of crazy  props for everyone to have fun with.  One prop was “Michael Jackson” .  You will see 3 girls having a blast in their hats and sunglasses! He definitely kept the crowd rockin all night long!

Kristin and Troy, I can’t wait to relive your wedding by  creating your album.  What a special day and what a special couple you are!!  Love you both! xoxoxo Nancy

Kristin and Troy | Fredericksburg Wedding photographer

How thankful I am that a good friend and amazing hair stylist Tanya Nozak, Outlooks for Hair,  mentioned my name to Kristin when she was getting her hair done.  She and Troy had been searching for just the right photographer for their wedding and I felt so privileged that they chose us!

I don’t know if she realizes it or not but one of the greatest compliments I have ever received was at their wedding when Kristin introduced me as her photographer and then corrected herself and said “my friend Nancy” !  My heart just melted when she said that!!

They wanted to do their engagement photos on family property and boy was I in for a treat!!  Not only were they amazing fun to be with we had great scenery and wonderful old rusty trucks… lot’s of eye candy – I call it.

Arlene and Robert | VA Engagement Photographer

How thankful I am to had the privilege of meeting Arlene and her soon to be husband Robert!   I have fallen in love with them!  Arlene and I have already had many chats together and even a shopping trip to purchase flowers for her bouquet. I made one for the engagement shoot – I used to work as a floral designer back in the day. Robert is just as sweet as can be and they are soooooo adorable together!

Robert has a rad car, as you will see, and I thought it was a great idea when Arlene suggested we use it in the shoot.

Back behind my home is a huge field and a farm.  We were graciously given permission to shoot around the old barns. I L.O.V.E. old barns and buildings!

We really did spend most of the time laughing… oh and taking pictures! We had a really great time!!

Arlene and Robert, I love you guys!!!

Leesburg Style Shoot | Leesburg VA Photographer

Even though it’s a busy season for photography, I always try to take advantage of opportunities to shoot. It’s a lot of fun and you get to meet  amazing photographers.  Style Shoots are when models and props are brought in and put together in creative ways.  We go from station to station working with the models props and create  poses.  It’s always a blast.  Some of the models are professional and some are just couples that are willing to come out and have a little fun.  Here are a few for now.
